Man I love homes. I seem say that a lot. But it's true. Yes, I love the nuts and bolts, the sticks and bricks, and the fancy finishes, but more than anything else I love the people. Working with clients on their homes, their dreams, there truly isn't anything like it. We definitely get excited to see progress on our client's homes, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING compares to the experiences.

The first time clients walk their foundation and imagine walking through the rooms- seeing the joy and anticipation in their eyes. When they see walls start to form and their dreams actually coming to life and they get choked up, on the verge of tears- yah, well, my sweaty eyeball disease can't help but shed a tear too. These are the moments we live for. We get to experience building with clients, but we also get to step away and observe them from very close range as they have experiences of their own.

Home is about memories. Those memories start well before the furniture is moved in. They start in the architect's office. In the design showroom. And in a dirt covered lot. We are blessed to be part of the first memories for a new home. And we are blessed to be part of the ongoing memories our clients, who become family, make in their homes well after we hand over the keys.

This week's #RBFeedFavorites feature an assortment of images that remind me of various projects and designs I've worked on. When I see the images I'm actually not really seeing the image at all. I'm remembering client's excitement about a particular look, color palette, or style. All the memories.
